My most important job is: Mommy. I love every minute of it.
I am so thankful to my husband (for letting me) and my Lord (for blessing us enough) for allowing me to be a SAH mom. I enjoy spending everyday taking care of my family, my home, and everything in between. I have so much appreciation for moms who work full time, and then maintain everything at home. It's a hard job.
I wish I could say that I'll stay home forever, but I just don't see that happening. However, I'm taking it one step at a time.
I do have a degree in Elementary Education and am prepared to teach one day. I know I can do it. I just want to be home SO BAD... especially when my children are small. When they go off to school, I don't think I'll mind being there everyday with them.
I love to sing. In February 2011, I made my first album. With the help of my husband and brother-in-law, I compiled a list of songs/tracks and recorded them.. in my home. It was so much fun. I am fully aware that it is BY NO MEANS professionally done. But I am very proud of it. Singing is something I've always done. I'm not a performer. I sing because I feel that God gave me a talent. I sing for Him. I was so happy that I can share with others my love for singing.
I love photography. I never really thought much about it, until Jase was born. Now, I take TONS of pictures of him and Jett (although, it's a little harder to find the time now that Jett has come along). It's so rewarding. I WISH I could take photography classes. I have so much to learn. What I have learned so far has come from practicing.. just pressing buttons until the shot turns out right. I also enjoy reading others' blogs... it's a great learning tool!
I have dabbled in all kinds of crafts... jewelry making, painting, soap making, and the list goes on. I love to make things. I love to be creative. If the opportunity arises to do something fun, innovative, and creative, I TAKE IT.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE makeup. I worked for 3 years at a local cosmetic store in my town. I have a passion for helping people. And the beauty industry is a great way to do that. I made so many new friends, heard so many people's stories, and helped lots of young girls learn the CORRECT way to wear makeup. I helped them build confidence. I feel that God gave me a spirit of compassion. It was a perfect thing for me to do. If I didn't have to work on the weekends and holidays, I'd probably still be there. That's how much I love it. I am a makeup addict. :) And thankfully, I still do some work in that field. My cosmetology school training hasn't gone to waste. I do hair on the side (in my kitchen, of all places) and do pageant/prom/wedding makeup and hair when needed.
The most important thing I could ever share with you is my love for Jesus Christ. He has saved my soul and blessed me beyond measure. I will forever be grateful for his love, grace and mercy.
On October 3, 2011, my little family faced one of the scariest moments of our lives. If you would like to read about it, you can click here.
I am sharing my story because it is most important that you know His love. Trust in Him and He will never leave your side. We are a walking, talking testimony.
