back to blogging...

Have I mentioned that life has been crazy/hectic lately?

Well, it's finally starting to level out.

About a week before Jett was born, we moved out of our house (which sold earlier that month) and moved in with my granny.  Jett arrived while we were still trying to get settled in at her house.

But unfortunately it didn't work out too well.  We were short on space, squeezing all of our stuff (and ourselves) into 2 bedrooms.  I originally thought it would be fine to have the baby in our bedroom.  But that was a mistake.  Now, I know lots of people keep newborns in their bedrooms b/c they don't want them out of their sight.  Not me.  Jase never once slept in our bedroom.  And now I know why.  When we were forced to do it with Jett, Jason ended up sleeping in the den in the recliner.  Luckily, he was off work for a whole week.  After several days of that, we knew something had to change.  He couldn't possibly have gone back to work and been productive under those conditions.

So we made the decision to move into his parents' house who have an upstairs with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a den.  It's more space and everyone has their own bedroom!  It's working out lovely and we're finally settled into a routine.

In the meantime, we've made an offer on a piece of land and are waiting to close on it.  It's been held up at the bank for several weeks, so we are hoping and praying it works out soon!
We've also decided on a builder and house plan and hope to get started ASAP.
We went back to the house in Cordova (that Jase fell out of) to see the floor plan.  I said I'd never go back there, but I'm glad I did.  I love the house and can't wait to get started building ours!

And, finally.... on to Jett.  Since he was born, he's had some terrible tummy issues.  I am almost to the breaking point.  I want my baby to feel better.  Hoping for some answers soon!!!

And whoever said going from 1 child to 2 is easy - LIED!
It's tough.  But we are adjusting pretty well.  It could be much worse.  Jase has been a great big brother and starting to understand I have to divide my attention.  And he's doing a good job "sharing" me.  Luckily, he hasn't had a jealous moment, and I'm hoping it stays that way.

I said I wasn't going to send him to preschool because he's my baby and I want him home with me as long as possible.  But I'm beginning to change my mind.  Now that he's a big brother, he's growing up fast.  And I see that he's not a "baby" anymore.  And he's bored.  So I'm checking into some programs around our home that he might could go to a few days a week for a few hours.  I know he'll love it, as much as I'll hate it.  But it'll be good for him (and good for me, also).

As for me, I'm doing okay.
Not sure I was quite ready for the sleepless nights.  But I keep reminding myself:
It won't last forever.

These times fly by... so I'm trying my best to enjoy them.

I know, I know.....

It's been FOREVER!!!

I've been so busy since Jett came along (actually, before he came along).  We've moved twice in the past few months and it's been hectic!  But we've finally gotten settled and have much more time to relax.

I'll devote a whole blog post to Jett's arrival (and the crazy days prior to his arrival) very soon.

But for now, here's some pictures of his birthday!

Baby Boy

He's here.... actually, he's been here for a week!

I haven't had a chance to update you, as our lives have been crazy hectic.  We moved and had a baby all in the same week.  And we are still trying to adjust.

I'm not promising to be a regular blogger in the near future, but I'll try my best.

Also, I haven't had a chance to download pictures, but I'll work on it soon!
